FUNCTION 1. They both indicate an obligation.他们都明确了义务。 Obligation n.义务,责任,职责。 You are under no obligation to buy anything.你不必非买什么东西。 拓展:be under an\no obligation (没)有义务 a sense of obligations 责任感 2. You must\have to wait until the prizes have been given.你必须等到奖品颁发完毕。 Prize:奖品,奖金。I won the first prize in the painting competition. 拓展:win a prize 获奖 award sb a prize 奖励某人 GRAMMAR Didn’t need to do 和 needn’t have done Need: “need”既可以作情态动词,也可以作实义动词,但是它们的用法不同。 下面是“need”作为情态动词的用法: 一、need 表示“需要”或“必须”,通常用于否定句和疑问句。例如: 1.You needn't do it again.你不需要再做了。 2.He needn't worry about it.这件事他无需担心。 3.Need he do this homework first?他需要先做这些作业吗? 二、在否定句中,可以用 need 的否定形式+不定式完成体。例如: 1.We needn't have worried.其实我们不必要慌。 2.You needn't have mentioned it.你本来不必提起这件事。 3.You needn't have said that when he asked.当他问的时候,你其实不必要说。 needn’t have done 与 didn’t need to do 前者主要表示某事已经做了,但后来觉得没必要去做,因此常含有责备或遗憾之意; 后者则不具体表明某事是否做了(即可能做了也可能没有做, 此用法中的 need 为实意动词): I got up early, but I needn’t have done so, because I had no work to do that morning. 我起 床起得很早,但我本来不必起那么早的,因为我那天早上没什么事做。 WRITING 如何写电子邮件 【写作技巧】 e-mail 一般由五部分组成,即:标题栏(Heading)、称呼(Salutation)、正文(Body)、 信尾客套话(Complimentary close)和落款(Signature)。信件开头常用语 1.
